A Little Trouble Goes a Long Way
Half-pint heroes. Pig-sized problems.
Scratch and Peck Tinker may be tiny, but they are BIG trouble. Despite being six inches tall, they still manage to accidentally turn a leaky faucet into a gushing geyser, scare a chicken so bad she lays an egg, and land in barnyard jail after a misunderstanding leaves the farm’s celebrity pig, Bigelow, with yolk on his face.
When the brothers cause one too many problems, they start to think the farm would be better off without them. But their runaway plans are interrupted when they stumble on something far worse: a strange contraption in the barn that’s sabotaging Farmer Hatley’s crops. If they don’t solve the mystery fast, the farm could go under and Bigelow could end up as bacon.
With the farm’s future—and the pig’s life—on the line, tracking down the culprit without causing any more chaos might be their biggest challenge yet.

As an elementary school librarian, I can't wait to share this story with teachers and students. This would make a fantastic read-aloud for elementary school students. -Kristin Stone
This book is seriously adorable. It’s like Charlotte’s Web with mischievous but well-meaning borrowers as main characters. (and without the sad ending!) It was charming and sweet, with just enough humor and mischief to keep me fully engaged. -Journey Bloomfield

Scratch and Peck Tinker are the neighborhood boys that my mom would have let me play with, though with a dash of concern—knowing that I’d come home with a story she’d only be able to half-believe. And “A Little Trouble Goes a Long Way” is just the sort of adventure I always wanted. -Jeff Bradley
A truly creative book that I can't wait to introduce to my granddaughter! -Mindy Shelton
Sometimes it's hard to connect with characters and relate to their struggles, but I found myself really feeling for their struggles and rooting them on the whole way! Their sibling dynamic was also very well-written. Definitely how siblings interact!! -Berlin Foster
